Ashland County Public Library
Ashland, Ohio

This mid 1980’s project presented a number of challenges to the building design team. A high priority was to preserve the Federal style façade on Claremont Avenue while offering the community a large and exciting space on the tight urban site. It was also necessary to phase construction such that the library remained open throughout the process.

Dan Seckel led the construction document team, adapting multiple construction types and interior demands to a consistent whole. His responsibilities also included furniture layouts and custom design of the main counter.
