Mansfield, Ohio

As a pro-bono contribution to the local community, The Seckel Group has led a 10-year effort to preserve and restore the 1886 Chateauesque structure overlooking Mansfield from the North. Already a proven tourist attraction with 30,000 admissions a year, the project has only begun to tap the potential of bringing regional visitors to our area. In addition to tourism, future planning includes meeting spaces, ideal for small-scale conference rooms set in a truly unique environment. The Ohio Historic Preservation Office honored Dan Seckel and the Mansfield Reformatory Preservation Society with a 1999 Award of Merit for their efforts to preserve and reuse this structure.
